And now I bring you one amazing athlete who is also stunningly beautiful...... drumroll..... Lauren!
This girl is a total rockstar! I've mentioned before that swimmers are not only amazing athletes but are also scholars, and she is no exception! She will be continuing her swimming career in college, so it was important that we capture senior pictures that commemorate this exciting time in her life. Her photography session was a little different than the male swimmers I work with. For one thing, we were limited on the times we could access the pool, which meant we had to get creative on when we would arrive. The second thing? Ladies love having hair and makeup done by a professional for their senior portraits, and it gives them a little boost of confidence and really gets them in the model mood. Normally for a swimmer we would shoot all of the other locations and outfits first, but we changed things up a little for Lauren. I mean, on the rare occasion that I get my hair and makeup on fleek, the last thing I want to do is hop in a pool and ruin it! To work around that and let Lauren enjoy it a little longer, we did the first portion of her shoot in the morning. This allowed us to get access to the pool for swim photos, then take a little break while she got to shower and head to hair and makeup. We then met up later in the afternoon to do all of her portraits downtown and at the park so everything worked out! It went perfectly and was an awesome solution to our timing dilemma!
Her session was also perfectly timed in that we got to use this GORGEOUS wildflower patch! There are only a few weeks a year that this is bloom and it is one of my favorite spots. You can bet if your session falls in this window, we are shooting at this location. Guys generally they don't want wildflowers in their portraits, but hey I'll go out there for a guy too! ;)
How cool is this 7 Image Montage we created for her?! I am loving it!!
