Ok, this year has been so crazy with all these amazing senior's incorporating special interests and hobbies into their sessions! Dayton wanted to incorporate both his sports and his motorcycle, so we chatted before his session about locations to shoot the bike. His mom Kim and I wanted something more exciting than just on the road, and it turned out that they had access to a shop filled with tools right here in town. How perfect is that?! We used the shop and chose a casual outfit to coordinate with the feel of the shots as well. Kim even brought her husband's leather jacket from back in the day and it made the portraits that much more special. Her son, their old bike that he's restored, and his dad's leather jacket. What mom wouldn't love that?!
Of course, we took some amazing portraits of Dayton in s full suit and some more traditional shots too, so that there is a little of everything in the gallery! Getting to do so many looks and locations with the seniors really allows them to get comfortable and have their personality to shine through the portraits. Dayton told me at the beginning of the shoot he was happy as long as his mom was happy (sweet, huh?), and I think we succeeded in making them both happy!
