Oh my gosh you guys this girl is so fun! I had an absolute blast with her. She is the sweetest thing and let me tell you she will have you cracking up every time you are around her!
We started her shoot on a beautiful summer day, and by beautiful I mean scorching hot of course in mid-Missouri. But hey, that's just the way it goes sometimes. Before her shoot we talked about it being warm, and did we want to reschedule? We decided we wanted to go forward and we went ahead and shot that day. It turned out to be so amazing and perfect. This girl is a total trooper. We had no problems, we hopped in and out of the car to stay nice and cool. Between that and a cooler full of ice cold water we were set.
The only trouble we have on summer senior shoots in the summer is changing, but I've found some tricks to make that easier too! I always bring my popup tint to shoot so that clients can change standing up. But on summer shoots, it's just so warm that that tent sometimes feels like an oven and so a lot of times seniors will just hop right back in their car. Usually moms have an SUV or a van or something and they can hop in and change and then hop back out and that's a nice little break in the AC to get changed.
Honestly if you've ever put on skinny jeans in the summer, you know being sweaty is not your friend! It's always nice to be able to hop into a nice cool car, take your time to change and then hop out so you get a little refresher!
Something really special about Hayley shoot is that we were able to bring her sweet sweet puppies to the shoot! Her dad was so sweet and brought them to meet us at the park. That way we were able to incorporate them into her shoot without them having to sit in the car and be sweaty and hot and miserable the whole time, which is something I always worry about.
Haley was able to have her big brother meet us for a portion of the shoot as well. I always love incorporating sibling(s) into a session because of how much more special it is. It's so fun to take advantage of the chance for portraits with them because rarely have the opportunity especially at your senior year. You're about to go off to college, sometimes it's going to be a long time before you see your sibling and you want a nice photo with them that you can take off to college with you!
We finished up her shoot by going out to her school and shoot on the football field and in the bleachers. This is such a perk for my local clients as we can go straight to their school and shoot. She is a football manager, so she wore just a like simple little team shirt and jeans and we went up in the bleachers with a football and shot there. It was so much fun. There was a practice going on that day and you could just tell how much her team loves her. She's just such positive energy that she brings to everyone she's around that you can't help but love her!
