Oh sweet, sweet Lainie!! This gorgeous girl has the sweetest personality. You would love hanging out with her. She always has something funny to say and she always brings a smile to your face. Of course she's a basically a model and yet she has no idea. She is so clueless how pretty she is, which is a shocker!
The day of her shoot, it was a warm summer day. We started out at the studio with some high fashion looks. We wanted to do some really editorial things with her super simple black top and rip jeans. We shot on a flat gray background and got lots of different looks and lots of captures of her personality. After that I had mentioned to her "Hey, you know I've got this really strange kind of different location. Are you willing to try something new with me?" And she was like, "Heck yeah!" So then we shot these wild flower photos and that was actually in a roundabout in the middle of a road. We are literally sitting on the curb taking photos, it was so funny. Look how stunning these images are!! You would never guess that this is around about here in town.
Next, we popped on her gorgeous prom dress. This was one of the years where COVID had hit and she didn't really get a real prom. They had a prom but it wasn't what you would normally expect for prom in the traditional sense. We wanted to capture some shots of her in this gown because they already had purchased it and she didn't really get a chance to wear it. I am so glad we did! We went downtown and put her on this metallic railing with her gorgeous silver dress and look at that face!! So beautiful! I just love how the wind caught her hair here and it was the perfect moment. I was just like "girl, you are killing this!"
After that we went down to the park. We wanted to get some really natural stuff; some really traditional stuff too. We went and shot down by the river with the bridge in the background. She put on her cute little shorts and this flowy top and we put her feet in the water. The funny thing is about this water is it's always filled with tadpoles (and sometimes bugs let's be honest) so it takes a special kind of senior to be comfortable sitting there and putting their feet in the water. It's definitely not for my seniors who would describe themselves as "indoorsy." You know? So I was pumped that Lainie was up for this!
The last thing we shot this super cute romper. I love it when seniors add a splash of color to their outfits. It really rounds out the looks nicely. I shot her in this field of long flowy grass and also some really tight close ups and just look at that light on her face! So buttery, so smooth! I absolutely love it. You can just see how gorgeous she feels and how comfortable and confident!
