Ahhh, where to start?! Casey is an intelligent, fun, sophisticated young woman who has big dreams and the drive to make them reality. She's committed herself to maintaining high standards of academic excellence, as well as being super active on the dance team. We wanted to incorporate a lot of her interests into her session, so we planned on shooting at a park, downtown, and at her home to give us a big variety in the portraits. We went into her home at the end of her shoot to do a portrait of her snuggled up in a big reading chair with piles of her books and keepsakes all around her to make the portrait extra special!
Casey was pampered the day of her shoot with hair and makeup. She's used to styling her gorgeous long locks to bring out her natural waves, but wanted a just a little bit of touch up to make sure every strand was perfect. Kyla gave her a subtle and natural makeup look that didn't cover up but enhanced Casey's natural beauty and will always be in style.
We had SO much fun at Casey's shoot. She and her mom are the kind of ladies you can totally nerd out with and not feel silly. There were more than a few times that I was like "OMG yassss!!!" or "Ahhhh I LOVE this!" or "THAT FACE! Hold it right there!!" Some of the spots that are perfect for portraits can cause a senior to pause, but not Casey. We were walking on the trail by her home for some portraits and I saw this little patch of flowers. Immediately I knew I had to have a portrait of her with them, and when I asked to full-on lay down in them, she didn't bat an eye! Up-for-anything seniors are my favorite!
Casey is off to Baylor this year and I could not be more excited for her! She is a lady to watch as I know she is going to do great things. Congrats Casey!!
