When I first chatted with Gracie's mom Carolyn, I knew we were going to be fast friends! She caught me driving back from a photography workshop, and the miles flew by as we went over what Gracie might want for her session and all the things we could do. Gracie is a bubbly girl with the most amazing curly hair and obvious beauty! She's the youngest in her family (we have that in common!) and her mom had so many fun stories about her and her sisters!
We started Gracie's shoot at a park for some natural looks. She had this amazing blue skirt and top that complimented her eyes PERFECTLY. We combined that outfit with some tall yellow grass to have the color combo! Gracie has a very modern, city-girl style, so we spent a big portion of the session downtown creating the cutest images of her strolling along! My personal fave? The ones with her hat! You can't beat a big floppy hat in my book!
Recently, I've had a lot of moms ask if they should come to the session, or if the senior should come alone. Having the moms at the shoots is definitely a MUST do. Moms know just how the seniors like their hair, help with outfit changes, and catch the little things that make the best memories of the shoot. Shoots can be a little emotional, and that's OK! Seeing your baby all grown up and looking so sharp can catch a mom off guard! So bring your tissues and get ready to make some memories with your senior!
