Lauren is the sweetest and most bubbly girl EVER! We had a warm summer day for her session, and it couldn't have been better. We spent the first part of her session at the studio shooting some soccer portraits, and she was one of the very first portrait sessions done in the new studio! I have to admit, it was so exciting to welcome them into the studio. They've seen me grow as a photographer over the years and have a special place in my heart! I've been lucky enough to work with them on both of their daughter's senior portraits, family portraits, as well as some events. Needless to say, they are some of the most fun people and we always have a blast no matter what we are working on, and Lauren's session was no exception!
One of the best parts of getting to work with a family over a few years and getting to know them well means that I get to see how unique each senior is. It also means that each time we get together we sit down like old friends and catch up on all the new things going on in their lives. In the time since I had seen them last, they had added a fur-baby to the family, and you all know what that means... We're bringing Lyla on the shoot! Now adding any animal to a shoot adds a certain level of uncertainty, but sweet Lyla was PUMPED to be out on their property to run and play! As soon as she saw her girl (Lauren) she couldn't keep from running up to her and giving her some love! If you have a pup you love, I would LOVE to have them at your shoot!
You know how sometimes you see clothes on the hanger, and you just can't really tell what they'll look like on? Well, that is basically what happened with this insane blue dress! This one was a last minute addition, and Lauren wanted to wear it to walk in/along the stream. Holy moly when she put the dress on it was perfect! The color, the fit, everything. The point? Even though we do an Outfit Consultation, that doesn't mean you can't throw in an extra piece you think might work! Doing the Outfit Consultation helps us to plan locations, and give you list of things to bring to your shoot so that you aren't stressing out the night before like "What am I going to wear?!" This happens 1-2 weeks before your shoot, and a lot of times you'll go shopping for accessories or the perfect addition to set an outfit off. If you find something that is to-die-for, bring it! Just shoot me a photo of it so I can match it to the perfect location! ;)
